- → I graduated with a degree in music, (specialising in musicology), from the University of Leeds in 1995.
- → I hold both diplomas in music theory from Trinity College London AmusTCL (distinction) and LmusTCL.
- → I also hold Grade 8 Composition (Distinction) from LCM.
- → I teach woodwind and piano (and theory!) in South Cambridgeshire as a private and visiting music teacher, and also in a volunteer role at the local music workshop.

I am very pleased with the course. It is comprehensive and very thoroughly laid out and I find it easy to navigate and to understand the contents.
I think your course is really good. I found it very clear and straightforward, and you make complex concepts easy to understand.
I got a 91 out of 100 on the DipMusLCM exam… approved, upper level!!! Thank you so much for your help with the chorale marking and tips at such short notice – I’m sure I definitely would have lost a lot of points if it wasn’t for your excellent comments and feedback. Your book on chorale writing is also excellent and was pretty much my sole source of information for the question on Bach chorales. There’s so much jargon online about writing chorales, and yours is the only resource that I found that is to the point and easy to understand.
