This grade 2 music theory course covers the topics set out in the Trinity College London syllabus.
This is a 2nd level exam/course and is ideal if you have recently studied for your Grade 1 Music Theory exam.

The exam consists of:
- The simple time signatures of 2/2, 3/2 and 3/8 and grouping of notes/rests in these time signatures
- Syncopation
- Minor harmonic and natural minor melodic scales and key signatures in A, D and E minor
- Tonic triads in root position and first inversion in the same keys
- Intervals and their qualities, above the tonic
- Broken chords
- Sequences
- Transposition at the octave
- Foreign musical terms and symbols
